Silky Scarves and Pizza Pie: Two New Talent Entries from ArtCenter College and Texas A&M University

Bundle up and chow down with these two amazing entries from our New Talent 2021 competition!

Grace Park may have a future in fashion design. With help from professors Ann Field and Christine Nasser, the Californian ArtCenter College of Design student created the illustration “Kyoto Four Seasons” (above) to be printed on luxurious silk scarves. Flowers and plants native to Kyoto sprout in each corner as two red-crowned cranes, dance together against a setting sun. Already Park has received multiple calls for licensing inquiries from international scarf companies.

Texas A&M University of Commerce student Kaitlin Deutsch, under professor Garrett Owen, redesigned the DiGiorno pizza line in “DiGiorno Packaging Redesign” (above). Given DiGiorno’s lack of a cohesive branding system, Deutsch created a vintage Italian/art deco-inspired design with a delivery-style pizza box to tie into the company’s tagline, “It’s not delivery, it’s DiGiorno.” The end product is a consistent visual system that’s unique from all other frozen pizza brands.

The deadline for our New Talent Annual 2021 Competition has been pushed back to November 10th, 2020, so don’t forget to submit your entry now!
