New Talent: New Entries from University Students Amy Schwartz, Kyu, Paris Nikiforakis, and Massimiliano Rossi

For the New Talent Annual 2020 competition, student Amy Schwartz submits her latest design from The Newhouse School at Syracuse University in the USA. Entitled “Too Much Noise Canceling” (above), Schwartz created a print ad for Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones with the support of Instructor Mel White. These headphones have adjustable levels of noise cancellation. The ad features a man fishing alone with headphones on, unaware of the shark trailing close behind him. Schwartz’s ad successfully highlights the significance of the adjustable levels, establishing the importance of being attentive of the noises around you.

From Germany, students Kyu, Paris Nikiforakis, and Massimiliano Rossi, submit their latest entry from Miami Ad School Berlin, under the guidance of Instructor Marlon Ski. Their advertisement, entitled “AirBnB – Hope Address” (above), features an answer to the problems of the homeless population in the United States. The students creatively promote the idea of setting up mailboxes for those without their own, through a company whose mission is to help people find a home. These students design an informative ad that brings attention to a productive solution.
