AIGA is paying tribute to Minnesota’s design legacy in a two-part Insights Lecture Series event, Minnesota Design, A Celebration. The event is on March 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Walker Cinema in Minneapolis. The evening will highlight a presentation by Andrew Blauvelt, the Walker Art Center senior curator of design, who will delve into the Walker’s new virtual Minnesota design collection.
Following the presentation is the opening of MGDA/AIGA Minnesota: A History Exhibit that outlines the legacy of the AIGA Minnesota chapter in celebration of AIGA’s 100th anniversary, curated by Kolean Pitner and Mike Haug. Charles S. Anderson will be honored for his 2014 AIGA Medal. The event will conclude with a post-lecture reception at the Garden Café.
