Zulu Alpha Kilo’splatinum-winning work for GladstoneHotel and AG Creative’swhimsical campaign for heating specialists Gandy Installations are featured in this week’s spotlight.
This week, Graphis turns its attention to our neighbors to the north, where Canadian advertising agencies turn-in truly award worthy work. Art Directors Ari Elkouby and Grant Cleland and Creative Director Zak Mroueh of Zulu Alpha Kilo’sshowcase platinum-winning advertising, demonstrating a playful campaign for the artsy Gladstone Hotel (LEFT). The Toronto-based agency’s ads ensured that the hotel’s illustration exhibition had “the highest record of attendance for an exhibition in its first year.”
Likewise, the gold-winning campaign from Art Director Arron Isaac and Creative Directors Cam Boyd and Troy McGuinness of Toronto-based MacLaren McCann for their client ILC-Lotto Max (RIGHT) denotes a tasteful whimsicality that points to the inherent excitement and fun of a lottery draw.
Also highlighted this week in advertising is Stewart Jung of AG Creative’s work for Gandy Installations (LEFT). The tongue-in-cheek approach is a refreshing take on a seemingly banal industry. Art Directors Dean Hamann, Ian Matheson and Faye Ji of Toronto-based DDB Canada craft a poignantly rustic nostalgia with their campaign for Dairy Farmers of Canada (RIGHT).
