The Advertising category of our New Talent Annual is always full of inspiring campaigns that offer a glimpse into the future of the industry. One impressive Platinum-winning entry was “Faber-Castell – Naturally Adaptive” (ABOVE) by Abdelrahman Galal from Germany. He explained his assignment as “a print ad for Faber-Castell showing how their pencils use colours that have been extracted from nature.” The resulting visual was both inventive and memorable for consumers.
Plus, we’re already receiving entries to the New Talent 2020 competition! One new video entry, “Uber First Talk” (ABOVE) by João Quadros Ramos of Brazil introduces a new concept that couples Uber ride sharing with Mental Health awareness. Ramos explains, “Psychologists will be Uber drivers and passengers will experience their first therapy session during the ride in a natural and uncompromising conversation. After arriving at their destination, travelers will receive an Uber app message informing that the driver was a psychologist and an invitation to continue the treatment. Clients will then be able to access a list of psychology professionals from their region.” It is a fascinating idea with a video that was executed thoughtfully.
Submit to the New Talent 2020 competition by September 17, 2019. Winners will have the opportunity to see their work published on our website, blog, newsletter, and social media platforms!
