See Tea and Liquor Packaging Inspired by Chinese Design From Shenzhen Lingyun and Hefei 127!

For the Packaging 10, Chinese agency, ShenZhen Lingyun submits their tea packaging for Bama Tea titled, “SaiZhenZhu” (above). The tea brand has been passed down through 13 generations of leaders. To represent this tradition, ShenZhen Lingyun chooses an idiom “Pass The Flame.” The tea is wrapped in a paper, that when unfolded, reveals an illustration of the business being passed down the 13 generations. The bold red and gold palette is reminiscent of a flame, and they even include a flame decal on the box for the tea canisters. ShenZhen Lingyun’s packaging makes this tea a great gift for holidays.

Designer Zhou Yao of Hefei 127 Creative Design Co. Ltd. abandons the typical look of a liquor bottle with his entry “Tang Fu Liquor” (above). For Jiangsu Tangfu Wine Company, he created a minimalist design that combines the Tangfu brand with modern Chinese liquor design. The bottle itself is shaped like a glass commonly used for drinking in China in the 1980s. The vertical lines that are cut into the bottle also represent the rice ears of the wine rice field. With this design, Yao invoked a sense of nostalgia and a memorable association with the ingredients of the liquor brand.
