Šabach is a consistent Graphis contributor. His “Death Map (Anti Death Penalty Poster)” was represented in the Poster Annual 2012. His “Tiger Parts” won Gold in the Poster Annual 2012, and His “Ms. Foundation for Women — Logo & Identity System” was represented in the Typography Annual. Šabach explains the artistic process behind his “Help Philippines” poster in his own words:
“Like most Designers I felt helpless after the typhoon hit the Philippines. I can’t get on a plane a go help rebuild, my financial contribution is limited. But since I am in the visual communication business I decided to use my skills to help to spread the word and try to get more people to donate to the American Red Cross …The poster is my representation of despair and chaos. Help people affected by the super typhoon Haiyan.”
The poster competition features the most compelling and influential design of the year. Gold and Platinum awards, along with winning entries, will be published in the Poster Annual 2015. Submit your own work to the Poster Annual 2015 competition here.
