My approach in rebranding the Brooklyn Botanic Garden was to integrate the scientific with aesthetic using archival vernacular with images of nature. My goal was to create a new voice that felt contemporary and bold, while still maintaining botany as the hero.
Carin Goldberg is a New York City native who studied at the Cooper Union School of Art. She worked as a Designer at CBS Television, CBS Records and Atlantic Records before she opened her own firm, Carin Goldberg Design, in 1982. Her book jacket design for the 1986 reissue of James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is considered an icon of postmodern design.
