Packaging: New Entry by Kemal Molu and Silver Award-winning Work by Ayşe Çelem Design

The Packaging 10 competition is an exciting opportunity for designers to potentially have their work showcased in a special collection of packaging design from around the world. One exciting new entry from Turkey, “Label Redesigning Project for Lucien Arkas Vineyards” (ABOVE) was designed by Kemal Molu at Moludsgn Ltd. for client, Lucien Arkas Vineyards. They were tasked with a redesign for the wine bottle labels and a corporate identity for the company’s sub-brands. Collaborating with Canadian scratchboard artist and Graphis Master Mark Summers for the illustrations, the end result was quite captivating.

Another fantastic and Silver-winning package design was featured in Design Annual 2017. “Sahi Snack (nuts) Packaging” (ABOVE) came to us from Ayşe Çelem Design, also located in Turkey. They explained to us that their approach involved zooming in on the details of Turkish miniature paintings, paying homage to their traditional art with a modern twist. The resulting package design is elegant and represents the brand well.
