The latest entry for the New Talent Annual 2020 comes from student Lindsay Kintgen for the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Entitled “Eyelash Museum” (above), Kintgen created concept designs with the support of Instructors Olga Mezhibovskaya and Nada Ray. The designs are meant to show how eyelashes and other artificial enhancements have impacted society. False eyelashes, mascara, and other types of accessories are front and center, demonstrating how they have become a big part of society’s makeup. Kintgen’s designs present an imaginative look at a potential cosmetic museum.
From Savannah College of Art and Design, student Wenjia Tang created pull-out boxes covered in tropical imagery. Entitled “Fairy Tale” (above), Tang included various shades of greens, reds, and yellows which brighten the cool strands of green in the background. Tang’s package design demonstrates a creative color use when utilizing a theme.
