“Ultra’s internal swag reflects and re-imagines elements in our physical and digital spaces to create disruptive and memorable client-facing collateral. The bold angular stripes, variety of textures and materials, and strict color palette appear throughout our studio and on our website. This project overlapped a design update on our website, so the collateral pieces incorporate styles from the former website design and current aesthetic.
The bright orange rubber bands placed at an angle on our business cards and presentation decks are a novelty; they echo our elasticity and act as another striking tool for disruption, sticking out in a stack of miscellaneous business cards. Subtly embossed stripes of glossy black beneath are revealed when the user removes the band for use (or target practice).
Unexpected and delightful illustrated elements — related to our work as a design studio — appear on the sketchpad’s cover and are interlaced within pathways to creative solutions.
Taken together, the collection of collateral pieces demonstrates Ultra’s playfulness while maintaining the functional — and necessary — element of each piece to do its job.”
