Hoon-Dong Chung, a talented Professor at Dankook University in South Korea, created the above poster (left) for the “Design Xiamen” Poster Exhibition. “With unique graphic, this symbolically conveys the following: “Xiamen has been a major port in China and an important path in both economic and cultural exchanges with the rest of the world.” The winner of several prestigious awards, Chung’s works often incorporate 3D typography and his philosophy is that “contrast is harmony.”
The poster to the right is a Gold Award Winner from Design Annual 2018. Submitted by Fan Yu of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in China, the poster draws attention to the message of the China Environmental Protection Association that the environment must be cared for, otherwise there is no future.
Ken-Tsai Lee, based in Taipei, Taiwan, entered the above promotional design as a part of a series to our current Design Annual 2019 competition. Lee’s work has won several industry awards, and has been presented in many exhibitions worldwide. It has been featured in magazine articles in several countries.
