Design Annual 2016 Spotlight Submissions: Illinois

Michael Pantuso
Design Firm: Michael Pantuso Design | Designer: Michael Pantuso

Illinois designer Michael Pantuso has rolled out another brilliant illustration in his limited edition series, “Mechanical Integrations,” a melding of nature and the mechanical. Mechanical Mosquito Integration #6  is a “balance between realism and graphic expression,” writes Pantuso on his Graphis Portfolio. “A place where shapes, colors and textures come together to form expressions of vision, imagination and emotion.” The illustration was submitted to our Design Annual 2016 competition.

Mr. Pantuso used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to build each element of the series one at a time, then layered each accordingly. The final result remains unknown as there are no final versions.

As Executive Designer for IDEAS360º, a Segerdahl company in Hinsdale, Mr. Pantuso works with the Chief Creative Officer and Designer, Steve Bagby, to manage the creative process. Mr. Pantuso is a past Graphis contributor. His “Mechanical Integration Series” was submitted to the Graphis Design Annual 2015. Learn more about IDEAS360º here.
