Annual Reports: Platinum Winning Work by GmbH and New Entry by Sight8

Annual Reports are an important aspect of design because they help clients communicate their yearly progress while upholding consistent branding identities.

Looking back on some of the great Annual Report submissions, we remembered German agency gmbh’s Platinum-winning work, “Deutsche Post DHL Annual Report 2011” (ABOVE) in the Annual Reports 2013 competition. Their use of the Deutsche Post DHL’s iconic yellow color and the brown box-like textured paper made the Annual Report unique and true to the company’s services. It is also easy to read and navigate, making the experience as easy as possible for readers.

A new entry, “Varian 2016 Annual Report” (ABOVE) by Sight8 agency is also quite easy to read and follows a clean blue and white color pattern. The agency related to us that “The 2016 Annual Report announces Varian’s plans to spin off their Imaging Components Business into a new public company. The report introduces the two new businesses and presents the backgrounds, people and products that make each uniquely positioned to succeed in operating independently.” The result was seen to be quite successful and tackled introducing two new companies to Varian Medical System’s shareholders.
