Advertising Spotlight: Wisconsin Agencies
STIR, an advertising agency founded by Brian Bennett, recently produced a testimonial video for a new client, Dr. Comfort, which featured John Bennett, the silver medalist in long jump in the 1956 Olympics. The coolest part about making the video? John is Brian’s father.
Brian Bennett founded STIR, an advertising and integrated marketing agency based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2000. The agency received Gold awards in the Advertising Annual 2013 for its ‘Dancer‘ and ‘Trumpeter‘ ads for the United Performing Arts Fund.
In addition, STIR won Platinum in the Advertising Annual 2012 for its ad for Lifechurch, titled ‘Lifechurch 2.’ The agency also received Gold awards for the ‘Smile,’ ‘Bowler,’ and ‘Walker‘ ads it created for St. Joseph’s/Candler, which appeared in the Advertising Annual 2013.
Serve, BVK’s non-profit agency, is staffed entirely by volunteers. Gary Mueller, executive creative director at BVK, founded Serve in 2002. The non-profit has donated more than $15 million of services to various organizations since then, working on campaigns to raise awareness and funding for teen homelessness, child sexual abuse and teen pregnancy, to name a few.
Serve received a Gold award for its ‘Milwaukee Health Dept Strong Baby Campaign,’ which appeared in the Advertising Annual 2013. The non-profit agency also won Gold in the 2014 Advertising Annual for ads it created about teen pregnancy for United Way.
