DJ Stout – Pentagram Design

Join DJ Stout with Pentagram Design on the evening of Wednesday, October 2, at 5 p.m., at LSU College of Art + Design —LSU Design Building Auditorium, Room 103 — in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Learn how this Texas-based graphic designer found inspiration for his award-winning work and gained prominence in the design and photography industries. In 1998, American Photo magazine selected Stout as one of the “100 most important people in photography,” after which he was profiled as one of the “Fifty American Designers” in a 2004 issue of I.D. (International Design) magazine.

Stout studied graphic design at Texas Tech University, launching his career in 1981 at Robert A. Wilson Associates in Dallas. He would spend thirteen years as art director for Texas Monthly magazine, before becoming a partner in the Austin office of Pentagram, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious design firms in the world. He and his team specializes in branding, packaging, identity design, exhibitions and website design.
