For the Graphis Packaging 10 Competition, PepsiCo Design & Innovation entered their design of an exclusive zero sugar Coca Cola Can for the 2019 Autumn/Winter Shanghai Fashion Week, “Pepsi x SHFW AW 2019.” Pepsi saw how young people used social media to create new personas and express themselves freely. This inspired them to take on the spirit of creative expression in social media and fashion week. Drawing from ancient hieroglyphics, the ‘social media’ of the time, they created a collage of needlework, fabric strokes, and other patterns and imagery to represent the fashion designers of today. PepsiCo is a multiple Gold and Silver winner in many of our Design and Packaging annuals.
US designers Brandon Kirk and Andrea Castañeda of Brandon Kirk Design, have created a friendly, and fun design for a pet brand, PawTree, and their subscription box. “My PawBox” is a customized box that contains all the essentials someone would need for their pet including supplements, toys, and treats. The packaging is playful with hand-drawn illustrations, and picnic table patterns. The typography is also enjoyable and matches the illustrations well with ‘punny’ phrases displayed around the box. The creative branding helps PawBox not seem like a standard pet box, but one that truly cares about the well-being of pets and their pet owners.
