US Designers Michael Pantuso and Cesar Rivera Enter the Graphis Design Annual 2021!

US Graphis Master Michael Pantuso creates the above image, “FLAMINGO Mechanical Integration.” Made for a collector’s home, this design shows a flamingo becoming mechanical; this is one of the many works of his that combine machinery with animals. Pantuso’s interest in the hybrid of nature and human ingenuity continue in his project series ‘Gulf of Mexico,’ which won Platinum in the Design Annual 2020.

Also from the United States, designer Cesar Rivera designs the above promotional campaign, titled “Rise and Shine.” This was created for Sam Houston State University to increase student retention, success, and degree completion. The reaction from the university was very positive; a second phase to the campaign has already begun. Rivera’s work has been previously featured across multiple Graphis Annuals, including Design, Poster, and most recently winning Gold in the Advertising Annual 2018.
