Design: Gold-winning Works and an Exciting New Entry from China

These memorable Gold-Winners and exciting new entries from China are visually stunning.

The Design Annuals are always replete with entries from around the world, but today we’re highlighting the work that has been submitted from China. In last year’s Design Annual 2019 competition, “Resonance Angel” (ABOVE, LEFT) by Randy Clark won Gold for his beautiful poster. Created as an invitation for the International Design Exhibition, cursive writing is presented along with Chinese symbols and strong imagery. Recently, we received another Poster design entry for Design Annual 2020 from Dalian RYCX Advertising Co., Ltd. entitled, “Great Sage Equalling Heaven” (ABOVE, RIGHT). The striking color scheme and use of text complement the Monkey King, which is a world-famous classical mythological figure in four famous Chinese works.

Aside from poster design, we also had wonderful packaging design from China. Gold-winner “True Joy” (ABOVE) by Shenzhen Tigerpan Packaging Design Co. ltd. pushes the limits and brings fine art into play for an everyday product. We are truly excited to see more entries from China and from around the world as we approach our deadline for the Design Annual 2020 competition!

Submit to the Design Annual 2020 competition by March 13, 2018. Winners will have the opportunity to see their work published on our website, blog, newsletter, and social media platforms!
