These recent winners in the New Talent Annual 2019 competition made use of their training for large scale concepts and cohesive branding projects.
When you have a classroom full of aspiring designers, it seems appropriate to make use of all those creative juices for the school’s promotional materials. This is what happened at Pennsylvania State University under the direction of Professor Kristin Sommese, and it later brought the class a collective Platinum award from Graphis. The assignment was to design a brand experience for the school’s upcoming informational event on summer internships. “19: A Design Experience” (ABOVE) was conceptualized around the fact that 19 had become a very important number in the project as there were nineteen students, all part of the class of 2019. The class broke up into teams to work on promotional material, videos and experience design. In the end, all the pieces of the puzzle came together to form a cohesive design and resulted in a sizable turnout for the event.
