The typographic poster above (left) won a Gold Award in Typography3. Designed by Louise Fili, John Passafiume, and Dana Tanamachi of Louise Fili, Ltd. and Visual Arts Press, the poster was created to encourage prospective students to attend the School of Visual Arts.

June Shin of Providence, Rhode Island created the above typeface design (right), an entry to our current competition. Inspired by both historical and modern typeface designers such as Wilson & Sons, W.A. Dwiggins, Linotype, and Matthew Carter, the resulting design takes a bit from each with a unique and modern twist that makes it the designers’ own.
