It’s quintessential Americana. Terry Heffernan’s Objects of the Civil War is a series of still life portraits, a retrospective snapshot that salutes the ghosts of a time long past. Recently submitted to the Photography Annual 2016 competition, is a piece was created in conjunction with assistant and retoucher Pammi Simone.
Terry Heffernan is a California-based still life photographer and director who owns Dogpatchstudios, a photo, film and event place. He specializes in photographing product and food/beverage products.
Mr. Heffernan is a consistent Graphis contributor, who has won two of Graphis’ most prestigious Platinum awards for his Instrument Photograph and his American Icons: Fly Fishing Series, in addition to 2 Silvers, 9 Golds, and 1 Merit.
Last year, Graphis saw a surfeit of Photography from California artists, including RJ Muna’s stunning Achok, which won a Platinum. The image was a deconstructed nun’s habit that was manipulated to contrast the architectural features of the model.
