What happens when the Ken-Tsai Lee Design Lab meets Taiwan TECH, under commission for the Type Directors Club? A bold, tasteful new submission is entered to our Design Annual 2016 competition. The poster, designed by Ken-Tsai Lee and Cheng Shiun You, announces the Type Directors Club Annual Exhibition ion Taiwan, which pays homage to Ikko Tanaka.
Mr. Lee is the founder of Ken-Tsai Lee Studio, a Taipei-based design studio. As the Visual Director of Taiwan Designers’ Week, Assistant Professor at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Regional Representative of the New York Art Directors Club, he has earned international recognition for his work. Mr. Lee has won numerous awards, including the Taiwan National Design Award, and awards at the New York and Tokyo Type Directors Clubs, New York One Show and Hong Kong Designers Association. Mr. Lee is also a consistent Graphis winner, whose Fonso Paper 2007 Promotion Series won a Platinum in the Poster Annual ’08/’09, in addition to eight Gold awards in the past 10 years.
Taiwan TECH, also known as The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, is a national technological university based in Taipei, Taiwan. Under the charge of Ching-Jong Liao since 2013, the school was ranked as Asia’s 10th best institute in science and technology on Asiaweek.com.
