The work of Michael Gericke looks simple — bold colors, clean lines, stark contrasts, and uncluttered composition. The message he conveys in his work always translates effortlessly. In fact, there is no work involved for the viewer, which is why Gericke is simply a master at his profession.
A Pentagram partner since 1986, Gericke has defined himself as a designer of broad appeal whose “logos delight children, donors, hardhats and mayors,” a client of his said in Graphis Magazine, Issue 352.
Indeed, he has produced work for a variety of clients, ranging from the revered American Institute of Architects to the “Gang Green” New York Jets. More recently, Michael Gericke has produced work for the Lincoln Center 50 year anniversary, the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, and the U.S. bid for the World Cup in 2018 and 2022.
