Graphis Master Jonathan Knowles (UK), as featured in our Photo Annuals and Graphis Journal #364

In our past three Graphis Photo Annuals 2017, 2018, and 2019, Jonathan Knowles has been a Platinum and Gold winning photographer. He has had success working for clients such as, Coca-Cola, Guinness, Smirnoff, Chanel, and Dior. His Q&A is presented in our Graphis Journal #364 that reveals valuable insight on his work philosophies.

His unique approach while taking photos has earned him award-winning advertising commissions worldwide. His image “Promiscuous Beauty” (above, right) for Luxure Magazine, won in 2017.

He also creates impressive still lifes such as the “Art Deco Champagne Cocktail” (above, left) and “Shopping Cart After Dali” (above, right), from 2018 & 2019. These images display examples of his versatile style.

In his Q&A, one of the many things he conveyed was that it doesn’t matter how demanding or difficult a client problem might be, however, solving the problem is what it’s all about. And this is hugely satisfying.

In addition, he feels that one of his greatest professional achievements is being able to survive in this highly competitive world.

Most satisfying was winning Advertising Photographer of the Year at the International Photography Awards, which honors the best in photography internationally.
