Photographer Christopher Wilson of Raleigh, NC is responsible for “Icarus As Woman,” an entry in our current Photography Annual 2018, as seen above. And the thought process for the photo went: if Icarus were a woman, she would not be so foolish as to make feathers out of wax, but to use real feathers from macaws and avoid the tragic fall of the myth.
Winning the Silver Award in our Photography Annual 2015, “Full Double Rainbow” was shot by Photographer Michael S. Confer of Ardmore, PA, who caught the phenomenon by chance as he took his family to the beach after a four-day storm had started clearing up one evening, hoping to catch some sunshine.
Our Photography Annual 2018 is still accepting entries! The deadline has been extended until October 17, 2017.
The sooner you enter work, the greater your chances of having your work published on our blog, website, and social media platforms! Head to our website for more information.
