Kevon Richardson — Clutch & Heels
Kevon Richardson received a Platinum award in the New Talent Annual 2014 for his photo advertisement, “Clutch & Heels.” Professor Phil Bekker, a Graphis Education Master, taught Richardson at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Georgia-based Photographers who have contributed to the Photography Annual 2014 include Debra Jansen, Douglas Stratton,
Todd Burandt, John McKinnon, John McDonald, Patrick Molnar, Parish Kohanim and
Melissa Pierschbacher, among others.

“Clutch & Heels” was part of Richardson’s “Specialist Portfolio” in the Art Institute of Atlanta’s BFA commercial photo program. His specialization was Fashion/Beauty. He explained how he created “Clutch & Heels” in the Credits & Commentary section of the New Talent Annual 2014:
Being from the Virgin Islands, I tried to incorporate pieces of me that I grew up seeing on a daily basis. I wanted that vibrancy that represented where I’m from, so this was actually shot in the Virgin Islands on location.
