In the very first issue of Graphis, a small, but exquisite collection of marks was presented to our readers. Here is a sampling of this original collection. Unfortunately, some have neglected the work of Italian printers and their marks created during the Italian Renaissance. Italian printers of the time created this graphical device purely as a trademark to protect themselves against piracy.
