London-based photographer Jonathan Knowles specializes in graphic still lifes and liquid in motion, a unique style aided by hi-speed photographic techniques. JWT is a communications agency that creates brand strategies for Nestle, Nokia, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Rolex and Smirnoff. This year, the agency was asked by Smirnoff to promote Cranberry & Lime, a new vodka flavor. JWT and its creative director Christiano Neves turned to Knowles. While, according to Knowles, the shooting process was quite messy, the end result is extraordinary.
Throughout his career, Knowles has had the opportunity to work with some of the top advertising agencies in the world and has been featured in multiple international publications, including “200 Best Advertising Photographers in the World” books and Graphis’ 100 Best in Photography Annuals. His Exploding Pint for Ogilvy Dubai and Heineken was published in our Photography Annual 2012. In fact, Knowles is one of the top 10 all-time award winners of Graphis’ annual competitions.
