New Talent: Entries from Han Sung University in South Korea

The posters featured today are all new entries to the current New Talent Annual 2018 competition from Professors Dong-Joo Park & Seung-Min Han‘s students.

The poster above (left) was designed by student Jong Myung Kim. Based on a scene from the movie “Terminator 2,” the poster aims to draw attention to global warming and the fact that we have the power to bring the polar bears back.
The poster beside it (right) was created by Kyung Hwan An to show that “a nation that forgets its past has no future.” By showing the statue of liberty seemingly crying, the poster brings attention to the “lack of awareness of history and the identity collapse.”

The poster above (left) was designed by Jinah Yu to draw attention to the prominent problem of racism that is still rampant around the world. The work communicates by using repetition “to break out of a vicious circle.” The poster beside it (right) was designed by student Hyun-Kyung Ro in order to warn against discarding abandoned objects in Africa.

The deadline for the New Talent Annual 2018 competition has been extended! Enter your work before Tuesday, November 21!
