Poster: Winners Announced for Poster Annual 2020

After much deliberation and a colorful cast of entries, the winners of the Poster Annual 2020 competition have been announced and can be found here. The Platinum winners included a stunning typographical 2018 SVA Subway Poster by Pablo Delcan, which was inspired by the prompt “Art Is!” (ABOVE LEFT), as well as the striking “Contemporary Noh Onmyoji-Abeno Seimeiand” by Youhei Ogawa (ABOVE RIGHT). Both posters play with typography in vastly different ways to create equally powerful imagery.

Gold-winner, “Pose – Blanca” (ABOVE LEFT) by FX Networks / Icon Arts was glamorous as well as poignant in its capturing of proud transgender female characters looking and feeling their best. Another beautiful Gold-winner was Mi-Jung Lee, who used a more fluid style in her “We Create Beauty” (ABOVE RIGHT) to promote Woosuk University’s beauty design major in 2019.
