Kristofer Dan-Bergman: Takeaways
Everyone here at Graphis is digging on Kristofer Dan-Bergman‘s recent submission to our Photography Annual 2014 competition. He titled this series Away. In terms of lighting, color and composition, his choices are refined and exquisite, but we’re probably also responding to a sense of delayed gratification. When are they going to turn around? If we keep watching and waiting will they reveal themselves?
“Away” is my latest installation in my First Degree series where I invite my friends to my studio each year with a different concept in mind. This installation was inspired by a painting my father made as a young man of a woman looking away.
The Photography Annual 2014 competition features the most compelling and influential photography of the year. Prizes consist of gold and platinum awards, with winning entries published in the Photography Annual 2014.
