Ella Laytham — Pasta Packaging

Ella Laytham, a student of Louise Fili’s at the School of the Visual Arts, received a Platinum award for her “Pasta Packaging” design in the New Talent Annual 2014. Additional Platinum winning Professors from the School of Visual Arts in New York include Paul Sahre, Shawn Hasto,
Carin Goldberg,
 Nic Taylor and Bill Oberlander.

Their students are Sherry Hsin-Ting Kuo,
Ben Grandgenett,
Dominika Kramerova, Sooyoung Jeon and Rina Joonwon Lee.

The type, handwritten, “captures the feel of pasta while being fun and appetizing” and the pasta packaging is meant to “stick out on the shelf,” wrote Laytham in the New Talent Annual 2014. The boxes certainly create an indelible impression for a consumer shopping for pasta.
