In Romanian, CRUD is known to mean raw, still under development, unpolished, young and fresh. This translation of “CRUD” is an apt title for Romanian designer Ovidiu Hrin’s recent submission to this year’s Poster Annual 2015. The poster was released to promote a concert featuring five new bands. The design encapsulates all that MADE IN TM, an organization that promotes underground music trends, requested: something that appeals to both the established, experienced rock bands and new school bands.

Hrin is a consistent Graphis winner. His work has been featured in the Poster Annual 2012, as well as the Design Annuals 2012 and 2013. To check out more work by Ovidiu Hrin, click here.

Hrin offered advice to students who aspire to work in graphic design, stating that it is a language that students must learn to speak fluently.

“Remember that Graphic Design is a service which works in the interest of other people,” Hrin told Graphis. “Remember that no excuse is admitted after finishing and delivering the work. Once it is out it points right back to you, so respect yourself.”
