As we patiently await the arrival of the Photography Annual 2019 books (as they are available for pre-order), we’re taking a look at some outstanding award winners. “A Murmuration of Fog” (ABOVE) by Graphis Master Christopher Wilson, beautifully depicts the mountains on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This photo won Gold in the transportation category as it was shot for his client, Euro Motors.

Photographer Joe Mazza won Silver for his entry, “Quixote | Writers Theatre | Preproduction poster image | 2018 Season” (ABOVE). With the prompt to show Quixote in a modern environment, Mazza successfully blended an urban setting with an upward perspective, perhaps to represent Quixote’s soaring ambition to explore.
