Professor Reneé Seward from University of Cincinnati DAAP had many outstanding submissions from her students for the 2016 New Talent Annual. Alex Logsdon created his poster series “Scientific Sleuths” in order to promote an exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum Center that would highlight three science pioneers who deeply influenced Physics. Jessica Oldiges created her series “Moving Titles: A Retrospect of Motion Pioneers” that advertised three prominent motion designers.

 

Other submissions from Seward’s class at University of Cincinnati DAAP include Samantha Wells’ Poetry Slam Poster Series” (image lower left) in order to advertise a poetry slam event that was set to occur at a local cafe. In addition, Taylor Priebe, also a student in Seward’s class, created her “Poetry Slam” (image lower right) poster that shows the unique qualities that made Allen Ginsberg stand out from other poets.

The Graphis New Talent Competition features some of the most compelling and influential design of the year from across the world. Gold and Platinum awards, along with winning entries, will be published in the New Talent Annual 2016.
