Design: Winning and New Entries in the Poster Category of Design Annual 2020

As we approach the deadline for Design Annual 2020, excellent new poster entries remind us of important past winners.

The poster category of our Design Annual competitions has always been a vital aspect of the book. Looking back on some past winners, in the 2019 competition, “Crucifixion” (ABOVE, RIGHT) brought Design Firm Steiner Graphics a Platinum award for their politically charged anti-gun poster. A year before, “Taboo S1” (ABOVE, LEFT) by Design Firm ARSONAL won Gold for their dark and mysterious poster for an FX show. Both designs use a specific mood and color palette to get their messages across.

Two new entries to the poster category include a cover image for Jugular magazine entitled, “Jugular Poster 6” (ABOVE, LEFT) by IF Studio and “Salome” (ABOVE, RIGHT) by Carmit Design Studio. Both certainly add drama and dimension to this category. While the cover of Jugular is perhaps chilling for the climate it depicts, the Salome poster proves to be chilling for entirely different reasons. We’re excited to see even more poster entries come in for the Design Annual 2020 Competition!

Submit to the Design Annual 2020 competition by March 13, 2019. Winners will have the opportunity to see their work published on our website, blog, newsletter, and social media platforms!
