Alina Popescu’s Gold-Winning Branding for Cinemaraton Is Versatile and Effective

Alina Popescu created sleek, motion-filled branding for Cinemaraton with a logo of shooting stars.

In our Branding 7 competition, Alina Popescu won Gold for her entry, “Cinemaraton TV” (ABOVE and BELOW). Her assignment was to create branding for a Cinemaraton, “a local TV channel dedicated to revitalizing and rediscovering Romanian films.” As an homage to the many actors and directors who have graced the silver screen in Romanian films, Popescu devised a dynamic logo of shooting stars that was directly influenced by motion graphics. Everything from posters, to car decals, to a flexible typographic system was devised.

All designed with the content in mind, this branding campaign was launched with much success and was thoroughly embraced. It would be no surprise to think that this branding design could serve Cinemaraton and its viewers for many years to come!
