The “Not Normal” campaign from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners goes beyond your standard print advertisement. The agency created a video for MINI Global that garnered more than six million views on Youtube. The firm described its process in the Credits & Commentary section of the Advertising Annual 2014:

MINI is not always a rational purchase decision for consumers. We chose to embrace this idea and tie it back to how the MINI brand always approaches the word, Not Normal. It was a philosophy the brand has always embraced, it spoke to the core of our owner population and it inspired a whole group of people who did not want to be caught dead looking average. Not Normal became our creative platform and drove everything the brand did.
